More about Sound Balancing:

Sound Balancing is a unique bodywork modality that uses the audible acoustic frequencies produced by tuning forks to balance the body’s electrical system.  The tones of vibrating tuning forks change in pitch, volume and timbre when moved around the body, in response to the information they encounter.

In areas where there is a lot of tension or activity, they may sound sharp or high. In areas that are under functioning, they may sound soft or full of static.

Continued application of the vibrating fork over the area of dissonance leads to an entrainment or harmonizing of the body’s frequency pattern – initially disordered or incoherent – to the ordered frequency pattern produced by the tuning fork.

These patterns of dissonance can be found up to six feet or more off the body. Sound Balancing is a process of combing in towards the body with the forks, locating and smoothing these pockets of energy and information. It is a process similar to combing tangled hair.

Virtually everyone is able to feel changes in the sound with their fingers as they hold the forks, and most people can hear them easily as well. The basic sound combing technique is simple and can be learned relatively quickly.

Tuning forks can also be used by placing the handles directly on the body. This is useful in places that are congested, such as muscle knots. The sound waves penetrate the body and create space between the molecules in a way that is similar to the use of infrasonic (inaudible) frequencies to break up kidney stones (lithotripsy).

Tuning forks can be integrated into massage, reiki, acupuncture, nursing, chiropractic, physical therapy and more. They are a powerful yet simple and non-invasive tool that is useful for first aid, pain, emotional upset, anxiety, and a wide variety of other ailments.

Often they produce immediate and tangible results, with pain and anxiety resolving while people are still on the treatment table. In addition, because the change in tone is so apparent, the person receiving the treatment experiences a feedback loop that demonstrates that changes are taking place.

If desired, students may conduct 20 documented hours of practice sessions and move on to Level 2 - however, this class provides you with enough information to simply integrate forks into whatever practice you already have with no need to go beyond unless it is your desire/intention to become a sound therapist.

As a professional massage therapist I have been involved in the healing arts for 10 years and have taken many healing arts classes.  However, I had never experienced anything as deeply profound and intensely transformative as Sound Balancing Level 1.

The information I received was ground-breaking and the healing experience was mind blowing. My life has become more magical and the universe has opened up for me in a way I never could have imagined. I now have amazing new tools to help me process my life challenges, and an exciting new way of seeing the world.

Level 1 was the gateway for me to begin to step in to my personal power, and live the life that makes my heart sing.”

“My experience with Eileen’s level one Sound Balancing class was very positive, eye-opening and often times healing. Whether you are interested in learning as much as possible about sound therapy in the hopes of going on to be a sound therapy practitioner someday, or you are just curious about how it all works, you will get a great deal out of this class.

Eileen is excellent at conveying complex information so that it can be understood by all, and the hands-on portion- practicing working on other students- is fascinating and just fun. If you have an interest in how we can better heal ourselves and one another, this class is invaluable.”
